Photographs are taken by an Army Captain who was a surgeon as well as a talented photographer. Images are vivid Kodachrome and have been painstakingly retouched and digitally restored by an award-winning photo conservationist and restoration artist. Note from the author: My name is Jeff Lowe and I'm an art director and designer from the Bay Area of Northern California. For more than 20 years, I've restored and recovered images for clients all over the world. There are few really great color images that have survived from the Korean War era. I've spent uncounted hours carefully removing dust and imperfections from each image and manually adjusting the 60+ year old colors. These previously unseen, unpublished prints of Korea are sharp and vivid and will absolutely blow your mind!
